The UK market for permanent and portable prefabricated buildings increased by 20% between 2000 and 2003. MSI project that the market will increase by a further 8% in real terms in 2004 to £1.7 billion (€2.5 billion).
Portable buildings will represent 62% of the UK market for permanent and portable prefabricated buildings in 2004. Permanent buildings will account for 38% of the total during the same year.
MSI forecast that the UK market for prefabricated buildings will grow by 60% in real terms between 2005 and 2009, as illustrated in the following diagram.
