During this period, the average Report company improved its turnover from £19.4 million in 2001/02 to £21.9 million in 2002/03 and stands at £23.2 million in 2003/04. This represents an average 19.1 percent rise in sales. Pre-tax profits also increased, but by the smaller rate of four percent to stand at £1.7 million in 2003/04. Despite the overall increase, average profits peaked at £2.5 million in the middle year of the Report.
