During this period, the average Report company witnessed a 4.2 percent decline in sales, from £46.2 million in 2000/01 to £44.3 million in 2002/03. Pre-tax profits also declined but by the greater rate of 33 percent, falling from £2.9 million in 2000/01 to £1.9 million in 2002/03.
