About the Credit Score

The credit score provided brings you a valuable, unique indicator for each company. Developed by leading business information providers, ICC Information Ltd., in association with Scorex (UK), the score uses a propriety measuring system, matching each company to a dynamic set of indicators. Constant measurement of the performance of companies which have become insolvent is undertaken, and this is mapped to companies which are still actively trading. Indicators are varied and include company size, performance ratios, industry type and more. The score indicates the potential for a company to become insolvent within the next twelve months. Put simply, a score of 0 indicates a high risk of insolvency and 100 indicates a minimal risk of insolvency.

The type and volume of data provided for each company depends upon their status. Small and medium sized companies do not have to disclose certain financial details, as laid out in the Companies Act 1981 and as amended by the Companies Act 1985 and 1989.
