The report analyses company and industry performance over the three years up to 7th September 2003. During this period, the average Report company witnessed an 18 percent increase in sales from £86.2 million in 2000/01 to £101.7 million in 2002/03, although this was a decline from the middle year of analysis when sales peaked at £104.6 million. Pre-tax profits deteriorated in all three years, falling from £8.3 million in 2000/01 to £7.6 million in 2002/03, an overall decline of 7.7 percent.
