During this period, the average Report company witnessed a 0.5 percent decline in sales from £116.6 million in 2000/01 to £115.9 million in 2002/03 although this result was still an improvement from the middle year of analysis. Pre-tax profits improved over the same period by 43.8 percent from £3.7 million in 2000/01 to £5.3 million in 2002/03.
