The report analyses company and industry performance over the three years up to 7th October 2003. During this period, the average Report company experienced a 15.5 percent increase in sales from £24.5 million in 2000/01 to £27.1 million in 2001/02 before ending the three years in 2002/03 at £28.4 million. Pre-tax profits increased by the higher rate of 20.2 percent over the same period, rising from £2.2 million in 2000/01 to £2.7 million in 2002/03.
