The report analyses company and industry performance over the three years up to 7th January 2003. During this period, the average Report company witnessed a 3.3 percent increase in sales. In 2000/01 sales stood at £61.9 million, rising to £64.5 million in 2001/02 before ending the Report period in 2002/03 at £64 million. Pre-tax profits marginally deteriorated over the same period by 0.3 percent. In 2000/01 PBT was at £8.9 million, declining to £8.8 million in 2002/03.
