This Business Ratio report focuses on the leading 132 companies operating as domestic furniture manufacturers. This summary brings you a sample of key details from this invaluable report. The report itself includes many further analyses of the performance of individual companies and the industry as a whole. The report analyses company and industry performance over the three years up to 7th October 2003. During this period, the average company has seen sales increase by 25.1 percent, from £33.8 million in 2000/01 to £42.4 million in 2002/03. Profits rose by 14.8 percent, from £2.3 million in the first year of analysis to £2.7 million in the final year. Domestic furniture manufacturers have witnessed reasonable results over the three year period of analysis. The majority of ratios have seen some improvement, particularly growth ratios that have all remained strong throughout the review period. The profitability ratios did realise a decline however this was only minimal.
