The report itself includes many further analyses of the performance of individual companies and the industry as a whole. The report analyses company and industry performance over the three years up to 7th June 2003. During this period, the average Report company witnessed a 16.6 percent increase in sales, from £103.5 million in 2000/01 to £113.6 million in 2001/02 before ending the three years in 2002/03 at £120.7 million. Pre-tax profits also improved but by the higher rate of 23.2 percent, increasing from £7.7 million in 2000/01 to £9.4 million in 2002/03.
