The report analyses company and industry performance over the three years up to 7th July 2003. During this period, the average Report company has seen sales increase by 20.9 percent, from £33.3 million in 2000/01 to £40.3 million in 2002/03. Profits increased at the even higher rate of 58.9 percent, from £1.1 million in the first year of analysis to £1.7 million in the final year. Agricultural equipment manufacturers have witnessed a positive three years in terms of ratio analysis. All ratios saw some improvement. Pre-tax profit growth did decline from the first half of the review period to the second, though still remains strong.
