This MBD study provides an analysis of the value of the hotels market in the UK. The number of trips, duration and spending by UK and overseas visitors to the UK either for holiday, business or miscellaneous purposes is analysed. Visits to friends and family do not always involve a hotel stay and therefore have been excluded, where possible, from this report which reviews England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Total occupancy levels in serviced accommodation are reviewed for the UK. Total serviced accommodation includes hotels, guest houses, motels, inns, farm guest houses and bed & breakfast establishments. Further analysis on occupancy is subsequently concentrated on the hotel industry. The UK hotels market research report contains five year historical data, current market conditions and influences, together with expectations for the next few years. The data is clearly presented and illustrated.
